2011 Homecoming — Friends of Pennytown Historic Site Raffle
June 2, 2011The 2011 Homecoming gathering will be held on Sunday, August 7th at the Pennytown Historic Site. As always, there will be a raffle that afternoon with prizes being awarded (you need not be present to win). Tickets will be available the day of Homecoming and will also be sold in advance by Friends of Pennytown members. The money received from the raffle will be used to support the Pennytown Historic Site.

Lunch will be served at 1:00 pm and services will begin at 2:00 pm. Our guest speaker will be the Reverend Ron Tooley, pastor of St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church in Slater, MO.

A Beautiful Day
August 8, 2009Thanks to everyone who joined us out at Pennytown on August 2nd. It was another wonderful homecoming with good food and fellowship. Thanks also to our special guest and speaker Mark Miles, and to all those who contributed time, labor, and money.
We would not be able to maintain the church and grounds without your generosity. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Homecoming 2009
August 18, 2008Homecoming 2008 has come and gone. Our special guest was Warren Read, author of The Lyncher in Me: A Search for Redemption in the Face of History. Below are some pictures from that gathering. The 2009 annual Homecoming will be on Sunday, August 2nd. Our keynote speaker will be Mark Miles, Deputy State Historical Preservation Officer for the State of Missouri with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
